There are three divisions setup generally along the following guidelines: All players are put into a draft pool with the Open Division having the first draft. When their player quota has been met all remaining players advance to the Veterans draft pool, those players remaining after the Veterans draft advance to the Masters Division draft pool. The signup sheet gives you a number of options
to express your preferences before the draft.

Masters Division: Mostly for players age 64 and up plus younger players wishing to play a more relaxed game of softball commensurate with their ability and desire for recreation.

Veterans Division: Generally for players age 58 to 63 plus older players with the desire for a more intense game and the ability to be drafted into this division, plus younger players with the desire for a somewhat less competitive experience or are not drafted in the Open Division.

Open Division: Players age 48 to 57 plus older players with the ability and desire to play in the most competitive division. Only players 50 and over have the option of moving to an older division.

IMPORTANT: Get your application returned by March 20th to be eligible for the draft. Players not having their application submitted will be assigned a team based on the player placement committee's decision.
REMEMBER : YOU MUST BE SIGNED UP BY MARCH 20TH TO INSURE YOUR SPOT ON A TEAM

Playing Rules and League Policies are not included in this mailing. These are on our website: chicoseniorsoftball.com. Visit the website frequently for updated information. Directories of the Board of Directors, Division Commissioners, and Team Managers will be posted. You can also download this year's signup sheet if you need one to sign up a new player.

We would like to acknowledge all those who helped to make our organization what it is. Our sponsors, supporters, and members who have made meaningful contributions in past years, we thank you.

We always need sponsors for our teams. If you know of anyone who might sponsor a senior team, please ask them. There are many benefits of a sponsorship. Contact Mike Stevens if you need any information or assistance in getting a sponsor.

We would like as many members as possible to get active in our Club. There are many programs and projects we can develop for seniors and for our community, but it takes people to successfully manage a committee or project. As a non-profit corporation formed to promote health and recreation for seniors, we can do many things that will greatly benefit the future of our senior citizens.

Any questions, suggestions, complaints, or other matters, contact myself at 895-8508 or Pete D'Avignon, Secretary at 343-7344 and leave a message. We will get right back to you.

Jim Pierce,
President
